Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a complicated neurodevelopmental ailment that influences how you pay attention, sit still, and control your behavior. It mainly affects children and teens.

It can't be prevented or cured but spotting it early phase can help your child to manage the symptoms of ADHD. Children with ADHD may have difficulty in paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors.

Signs and symptoms of ADHD are:

2. Interrupting.
3. Trouble waiting for their turn.
4. Emotional turmoil.
5. Problems playing quietly.
6. Unfinished tasks.
7. Having trouble focusing and concentrating on tasks.
8. Gets easily distracted.

Causes of ADHD are:
- Genetic
- Brain injury.
- Due to exposure to lead during pregnancy or at a young age.
- Use of alcohol and tobacco during pregnancy.
- Premature birth.
- Low birth weight.

Types of ADHD are:

1. Predominantly inattentive – Children having this type of ADHD have extreme difficulty in focusing, finishing tasks, and following instructions.
2. Predominantly hyperactive-impulsive type – Children with this type of ADHD show primarily hyperactive and impulsive behavior.
3. Combined hyperactive-impulsive and inattentive type – Children with this combined type of ADHD have both inattentive and hyperactive symptoms. They may have the inability to pay attention, a tendency towards impulsiveness, and hyperactivity.

People with ADHD need treatment and without treatment, it can make it hard to deal with the challenges of everyday life and coping up with the signs and symptoms of ADHD. Children may face trouble in learning and developing social skills. You should visit the doctor regularly and live your life happily without any interference with ADHD symptoms.
