After seeing Tanya Mnaiktala as Lata Mehra in the Netflix Drama Series, “A Suitable Boy” we were not only impressed by her acting skills but also by the charm she possesses. The show was very entertaining and Lata’s modest yet ethical look continues to take over our minds.
A lot of college-going girls and working women have always loved these kinds of looks. Similar looks have become very popular in the past. For example, Deepika’s Piku look was a hit because of its simplicity and easy to carry vibe. Similarly, we all certainly cannot forget Anushka Sharma from “Ae Dil Hai Muskil”. The bold kajal, smokey eyes, and fresh makeup are what get us all the time. Such a look is easy to create and is always in style.
1) Dressing –
For the outfit, we have seen that she mostly wears beautiful organza sarees and pairs them with the same colored sleeveless blouses. The colors of the sarees are so vibrant and gorgeous that you would want to straight away get one for yourself. The beautiful colors were bright red, misty teal, lime zest, and vibrant indigo. Such colors look very pretty during the wedding season too.
2) Jewelry –
For the jewelry, she can be seen wearing a very minimal elegant nose pin that marks her signature look. Apart from this, with most sarees, she is seen wearing a very simple yet elegant pearl necklace that adds so much to her graceful character as well. For the earrings she is mostly seen wearing small pearl ones with simple studs for the second piercing or small hanging ones for different occasions.
3) Makeup –
The makeup looks throughout the series have been a fresh one with fuller filled dark brows with light blush and a pinky nude lipstick for a very “no-makeup makeup” look. The most important element to this is a small bindi that makes for a must in this. Lastly, the lashes are fuller and fluttery and she is seen with black eyeliner to make for that graceful modest look.
4) Hair –
Lata is seen either in very loose low braids that give her the simplicity element. When she makes such a braid with a saree, she puts on gajra for that ethnic vibe. Other times she wears a beautiful loose low bun with hair center-parted from the front.
Indian Sarees and Indian wear will always be close to our hearts. With big designers focusing on the traditional style more, we tend to shift more towards our existing culture and hence traditional wear marks its way in the Fashion Industry as well.
