Kay Beauty Eyeshadow Palette Review

It’s been only a month since Kay Beauty came out with their foundation range, and now they are back with another product. The foundation was a hit for the most part however some people showed disliking for the price. But here’s a thing, if you look at the brand and its products they are not very inexpensive to begin with, and they are not high-end enough to draw a hole in your pocket. Katrina Kaif has kept the price point in the mid-range.
As for the new launch, Yes!! The wait is over for those who wanted Katrina to come out with an eyeshadow palette. So let’s move forward with the product review.
Starting off with the key ingredients:
The palettes are formulated with Macadamia Nut Oil and Aloe Vera Oil as the key ingredients. The former is a moisturizing oil used to soften the skin and avoid greasiness while the latter locks in moisture and provides a smooth surface for eyeshadow application.
The palette comes in 4 variants namely:
- Pure Bloom
- Self Love
- Wild And Free
- Bare Soul
The names are definitely catchy and commendable. Well done Katrina!
All of the shadows are super blendable and pigmented. They can be built according to one’s preference as well. So you can keep it light and natural or amp it up to full glam.
All the palettes are mixed with shimmer and matte shades and a total of 9 shades in one palette along with a mirror which makes the palette very useful and handy.
The packaging is very pretty to look at and is user-friendly as well however the interiors are the traditional circular pans which we have seen in ColourPop and Kylie Cosmetics' eyeshadows as well. The palette is priced at ₹1199.
Now to sum things up:
Pros:
- Nice Shade range
- Blendable shades
- Matte and shimmer included
- A mirror is included and the packaging is user friendly
- Paraben-free
- Paraffin free
- Cruelty-free
Cons:
- Price can be a bit steep for some people
- Some shades can be patchy and not pigmented
Overall in my opinion this palette is worth buying. If you look at brands like L'Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York, and Lakme, they have similar ranged palettes as well so considering that it’s not extremely expensive. The shades look nice and cohesive as placed in the pans. If you can save money and invest, by all means, go ahead and give it a shot.
