Cardiovascular or cardio exercises are the type of exercises that gets your heart rate up and maintain it for a prolonged time. It pumps your blood faster. These are widely regarded as healthy aerobic exercises.
It delivers more oxygen to your body and keeps your heart and lungs healthy. It also helps in losing weight, better sleep, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases. So, read out these exercises!
· Burpees
It is a great cardio exercise. It is a combination of squat, jump, and push-ups. It helps in the entire body workout. You have to stand with your feet apart. Squat and place your hands on the floor. Then jump your feet back into a plank and do one push-up. Again, jump your feet back into a squat, jump up, reaching your arms upward. Repeat.
· Lateral Shuffle
It increases your heart rate and also increases your side-to-side co-ordination. You have to stand with your feet apart. Bent your knees and hips. Then slightly lean forward, lift your right foot and move to its right side and come back to the center. Now repeat the same to the left side.
· Standing Oblique Crunch
It is ideal for beginners. In this, you have to stand with your feet apart. Place both your hands on the back of your head and elbows pointing outward. Then bend to the right, moving right elbow down and right knee up. Return to the starting position. Repeat with the left side.
· Jumping jacks
It is for a full-body workout. It works on the entire body while increasing your heart rate. For doing this, you have to stand with your legs together and arms at your sides. Then slightly bend your knees. Jump and spread your legs wider. Lifting your arms upwards jump to the center. Repeat.
· Squat Jumps
It is a combination of squat and jump. Adding a jump to a regular squat can turn out to be a great cardio workout. You need to keep your feet apart and bend your knees and lower back and squat. While doing this swing your arms back and quickly swing your arms upward and jump. Repeat.
