When the seasons shift, so do our skin issues. May it be the sunburn or the flakiness due to dry winters. And, since our skin consumes the bulk of the creams and lotions we apply to it, we must be careful of the products in our personal grooming goods.
Â
But how can we take care of our skin, when most of them are made of chemicals? Well, seems like we do have a solution. Guess what? You can make your own lotions at home. Below we have mentioned how to make organic, homemade natural lotions.
Â
- Plain Everyday Lotion
Place a jar in a saucepan of half water. Put in half a cup of almond or olive oil, a quarter cup of shea butter, a quarter cup of beeswax, and one spoon of Vitamin-E oil into the jar. Start boiling the water and let the ingredients melt. Make sure they turn into a thick liquid. Pour into smaller jars and let them cool down to room temperature.
Â
- Rosewater Lotion
Just like the above step, put the jar in a saucepan. All you need is half a cup of almond oil, a quarter cup of coconut oil, beeswax, and a teaspoon of Vitamin-E oil and Rosewater. You can add 2 spoons of Rosewater too. The same steps will follow after.
Â
- Calendula Lotion
The ingredients are as follows, half a cup of olive oil, one-fourth of beeswax, coconut oil, a teaspoon of Vitamin-E oil, and drops of Calendula oil. And you do know the rest of the process. Put them in a jar and stir while heating up.
Â
- Vanilla Lotion
Your homemade Vanilla Lotion requires a half cup of olive oil, one-fourth of coconut oil and beeswax, a spoon of Vitamin-E oil, and drops of vanilla essence. Shake the mixture thoroughly and make sure you get the soft smell of Vanilla.

Homemade natural lotions are very much cost-efficient. You can either find the ingredients in a departmental store or at a pharmacy or even online. One doesn’t need to go the extra mile for the same. Remember to always pour them in small containers and cool them down to room temperature before using them. Store them in a cool, dry place.
