2020 has been havoc for everyone due to COVID-19 and now we have made it to 2021. Last year we dealt with everything which we thought we would not in centuries, and our lifestyle changed completely.

From Sanitizing hands after every hour to going out with a mask is something which we thought we won’t do as a compulsory thing and hence, our lifestyle completely changed.

 

Now we have barely got through the year 2020, here are some lifestyle trends that will define 2021.

1) Mental Health Awareness

Studies have shown that many people around the globe became a victim to depression, anxiety and loneliness during quarantine period. Many young adults had thoughts of suicide during the pandemic and others suffered from stress. Caring for one’s mental health should be made common and should involve less stigma around it. Raising awareness for mental health should be the first lifestyle change we need to implement.

2) Healthy Diet.

We did know the importance of immunity but underestimated it until COVID-19 came. We realized a healthy and balanced diet is needed for a strong body to resist infections and to have a good immunity. Healthy diet is another lifestyle change that we should improvise in 2021.

3) Sustainability

When the world was in lockdown, we got to witness a clean environment, clean water, good air and we realized what sins we have done to our environment. We realized it is time to take sustainable development more seriously and should treat our environment better because we are the ones who are living in it.

4) Exercise and Meditation

We finally got to know the importance of these two. Exercise should be a regular routine that shouldn’t be skipped, and meditation helps a lot for mental stress. These two should be essential part of lifestyle in 2021.

5) Self-love

To love others, you need to love yourself. We know that sometimes life can be tough, but you shouldn’t give up on yourself or criticize yourself. Spend at least 15 minutes writing or thinking about what you have achieved in your life or what makes you happy, what your dreams are and what can you do to achieve it.
