The Keto diet is also known as the ketogenic diet. It is a very low-carb, high-fat diet. It involves reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat for energy resources. It also converts fats into ketones known as ketosis, in the liver, and supply energy to the brain.

It reduces blood sugar level and insulin levels. When you take a low-carb diet, your body starts breaking down proteins and fats for producing energy, which causes high weight loss. This diet has the main focus on weight loss rather than health benefits. This diet limits carbs to 20-50 grams per day.'

Here are some healthy foods you can consume in the keto diet
- You should eat low- carb vegetable
Non-starchy vegetables contain many nutrients like vitamin C but are also low in calories and carbs. Vegetables that can be consumed in the keto diet are asparagus, avocado, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, olives, zucchini.

- Cheese
It is very high in fat and low in carbs and is very good for the keto diet. It contains saturated fat, which does not cause any heart disease. Some types of cheese which can be consumed are cheddar, blue cheese, cottage cheese, goat cheese, feta.

- Meat
They contain no carbs but are rich in protein sources and in vitamin B which helps to preserve muscle mass during the keto diet.

- Egg
They are the healthiest foods; one egg contains less than 1 gram of carbs. It is a good source of proteins and is good for a keto diet. It triggers the hormone which increases the feeling of fullness.

- Coconut oil
You should make your food in coconut oil as it contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). They are directly taken up by the liver and converts into ketones and be a rapid source of energy.
- Nuts and seeds
They are healthy and contains low carbs and high fats. Some examples of nuts are almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts, chia seeds, flaxseeds, brazil nuts.


- Shirataki noodles
These are long, white noodles that have a low carb. These are made from a fiber called glucomannan which can absorb 50 times more of its weight in water. It helps in decrease hunger and always feel of fullness.

- Berries
These are the best fruits to include in the keto diet. It contains very low carbs and high fiber. These contain antioxidants that protect against various diseases.

This diet helps in reducing weight and managing blood sugar levels. It includes a variety of foods that are low in carbs and high in proteins.
